Rollator Walker Review & Buying Tips

If you're searching for a rollator walker, my personal reviews will help you find the perfect model for you & your lifestyle. To help give you more years of mobility, freedom & independence.

Even if you have an injury, arthritis,  weakness, balance issues or have had recent surgery, you still want to be active & free.

And you can see my #1 all-around rollator walker: the Drive Medical Four Wheel Rollator on Amazon.

Rollator walkers are different than standard walkers because they have wheels at the bottom of each leg, instead of just rubber tips. Because the wheels allow you to push the rollator in front of you, you'll be able to move much faster - and with less effort.

You'll see that there are hand brakes on the handles.  The brakes allow you to slow down or stop. The hand braking system provides great stability & safety.

And if you need to take a rest, now & then, the newly designed models feature padded seats & fold down back rests. So handy & safe.

As you look around, you'll see that there are 3 wheel and 4 wheel versions

Best Rollator Walker Reviews

BEST ALL-AROUND ROLLATOR WALKER:

This Drive Medical Four Wheel Rollator on Amazon is my #1 all-around choice! It's not only strong, easy to fold and economically priced - but it's also stylish!

I love the four 7.5" wheels that are non-maring - and they work very well indoors and  outdoors. The wheels won't make any track marks on your floors.  It also has a tough & strong steel frame and you'll find it very easy to adjust it to your personal height.

This Drive Medical Rollator on Amazon features a really nice padded seat that also has a padded backrest that you can fold up or down. And I want to mention that it's ergonomic handles are very comfortable in your hand.

It also comes in blue or red! You can get this Drive Medical Rollator at Amazon.

My Favorite & Highly Recommended Three Wheel Rollator:

This  Drive Medical Winnie Lite Rollator on Amazon has three wheels & a light weight that makes it perfect for travel, shopping, maneuvering tight spaces - and it's a perfect fit for your car trunk too! It really allows you to walk through tight spaces & it needs less "parking space" inside offices, restaurants, movies, stores, etc.

It has 7.5" casters with soft-grip tires that you can use indoors or outdoors. It quickly adjusts to your proper height and it easily folds up just using one hand. Very cool. The aluminum frame is strong, sturdy & light.

I love that this Drive Medical Winnie Lite Rollator on Amazon comes with a handsome plaid pouch for your personal items - and I want to mention that the pouch has a cover. I like the fact that you can put items in your pouch but the pouch cover ensures your privacy.

Best Bariatric Rollator Walker:

The Medline Bariatric Rollator Walker with Seat is my top  recommendation for those of us who are on the heavier side!

This is a very stylish rollator walker - but it also holds up to a max of 400lbs!  Amazing. And the large 8" wheels have reinforced forks & spokes for extra strength & confidence. Yet it still only weighs 19 lbs.

This Medline Bariatric Rollator Walker on Amazon is thoughtfully designed with a wider distance between the handles to provide extra room. And it's got a solid padded seat with a Velcro pocket underneath. Handy!

I highly recommend this attractive & sturdy Medline Bariatric Rollator Walker on Amazon.

Three wheeled versions have slim designs and they're really ideal if you need to maneuver in tight spaces like shopping aisles, offices, movie theaters, restaurants, etc.  They need less "parking space" because of their smaller size. And since they weigh less than the 4 wheel versions,  they're easier to lift, store and retrieve from a car trunk.

The four wheel versions are slightly heavier & larger than the three wheeled models,  but they offer a more stability and support. And there's a large selection of accessories available like baskets, trays, cup holders, etc.

Most models are made of strong & light aluminum and they come in some very stylish colors & designs. They're easily adjustable to fit your height and the vast majority of them fold up for storage.

And one more thing that I think is really important is to look at the hand grips of any model you're thinking about buying. A good grip or handle can make all the difference! You'll want to make sure the grip or handle is contoured, or ergonomically designed, to be comfortable in your hand. The more comfortable the hand grip, the more enjoyable it will be to use - and less tiring too!

Personally, I have some peripheral neuthropy (numbness/tingling) in my hands, so I always need a grip that contoured & cushioned. A contoured or ergonomic grip makes a big  difference!
