Hurry Cane Review & Buying Guide

Here's my Hurry Cane review page to help you find out if it's right for you! And I'll also share my tips on other styles so you can choose the best cane for you - to prevent falls & give you the most freedom & mobility possible.

Review of the Hurry Cane Freedom Edition

The Freedom Edition is the newest edition of the popular Hurry Cane available on Amazon.  And I couldn't wait to get one to review it.

This new Hurry Cane on Amazon is still  proudly Made in the USA, which I was happy to see. And the first thing you notice when you pick it up is that it feels lighter than their older models. I was initially worried that it wasn't as strong, but although it's 20% lighter, it has a maximum weight capacity of 350 lbs!  I'm impressed and I wanted to point this out on this Hurrycane review! That's 40% stronger than the original model.

And I was also impressed with the newly designed ergonomic handle! Truthfully, I think the handle is a better design & size than the older model. Easier to grip.  And it's a much softer and cushier!

Another big advantage of this new Hurry Cane on Amazon, over other competitive models,  is that it stands on it's own! I love that it stands  on its own - which frees up your hand. This is so helpful if you're standing in a buffet line, sitting at a table, or reaching to open your wallet or purse. You cane won't fall or trip anyone!

I wanted to let you know, on this HurryCane reviews page, that the new Hurry Cane on Amazon also has a wider foot. But not too wide to make it clunky. The wider foot makes solid and secure contact with the ground using it's rubber feet grips.

One of the unique features that the Hurry Cane is known for is its pivoting head.  As you walk on uneven ground , or inclines, the automatically pivoting head helps keep you balanced!

I really love that it only takes seconds to fold it up into 1/3 of its original size. And it comes with a storage bag. It's great for travel or wherever you'd like to discretely stow away your cane: when you're dining out, at the movies, listening to a concert, etc.

The new Hurry Cane is easily adjustable from 30.5" to 37.5".

I'm so pleased to say that this new Freedom Edition Hurry Cane on Amazon is a great all-around model with some truly unique features! I highly recommend it for both men & women.

HurryCane Review: It's Great for Steps!

One last thing I wanted to mention on this HurryCane review is that the HurryCane works really well on steps!

If you're used to using a standard quad cane, that has 4 prongs, you may have been frustrated trying to use it on stair steps. Many four prong canes, or quad canes, have bases that are just too big to fit on stair steps. It's a common problem with 4 prong walking canes.

But the smaller size of the Hurrycane base means that you'll get the support you need from a quad cane - but it will still fit perfectly on stair steps!

Another good point to consider when you're reading Hurry Cane reviews to decide if it's the right walking cane for you!

HurryCane Review: Who Shouldn't Use a HurryCane?

As I've pointed out on this Hurrycane review, the HurryCane is an excellent choice if you're looking for a sturdy, folding cane with a pivoting head.

But, I wanted to point out that these Hurry Cane reviews aren't written for everyone because some people really shouldn't use one. Who shouldn't use a HurryCane? Let's talk about who should not consider using a HurryCane:

  • If you're unable to stand or walk using your legs
  • You're currently using a walker, rollator or rolling walker mobility aid
  • If you have a medical condition, disability or condition that causes you to become dizzy, you should not use a Hurry Cane
  • If your doctor, physical therapist or medical professional has told you that you need more balance and walking support than a single point cane can offer, the HurryCane is not right for you
  • As always, if you're unsure about what mobility aid is right for you, seek professional advice

HurryCane Height is Important for Walking Safely!

No matter which style cane you use, remember that it's extremely important to measure & adjust it to your proper height!

You'll lean - and perhaps lose your balance - if your cane is too short. If your cane is too long, you might over-reach or over-exert yourself. And that could cause an injury.
