And you can see my #1 top recommended adult walker: the Drive Medical Folding Designer Walker on Amazon. It's lightweight, strong and easily height adjustable from 28.25" to 38.25, so you can set it to your perfect height.
I think this Drive Medical walker is a great walker that has quality features and it's available in stylish colors too: blue, gray and pink!
I know there are thousands of models to choose from, so I wrote my own reviews to help you choose the best, safest & most economical one!
Let's review the 3 main types of adult walkers on the market. And we'll review the advantages & disadvantages of each one to help you choose wisely:
Standard Adult Walkers have four legs with rubber tips at the end of each leg. No wheels! Standard walkers are generally made of lightweight & strong aluminum and they're designed to easily adjust to your height.
They will give you the most support and are generally very economical. And they really are best suited for indoor use. And you'll see that most of them fold up so that you can store them in a car trunk - or tuck it out of the way.
But, since standard adult walkers don't have wheels, you have to lift them up & and forward, with each step. Lifting them, and moving them, makes for slow progress. And that can be very tiring - especially after a few minutes.
Rolling Adult Walkers have wheels on bottom of each front leg - instead of rubber tips. They are a good choice for someone who an support more of their body weight on their own legs.
And because you don't have to lift it up with each step, like you need to do with a standard walker, you'll move much faster. This is a great mobility aid for walking longer distances.
Rolling walkers work very well on carpet. And you'll see many of these outfitted with glides on the two back legs. The glides really do help you move smoothly over almost any surface.
And these models adjust to your individual height and most of them fold at the touch of a button.
Rollators have wheels on the bottom of each leg. As you look around, you'll see 3 & 4 wheel models. A 3 wheel rollator has a more slender design & is a good choice if you need to get around in very tight places.
A rollator will allow you to move faster. If you're active, or want to be, this may be a great choice for you. And, for safely, they also have brakes that allow you to quickly slow down or stop.
I really love the fold-up seats that are on many rollators. It's great to have a seat for a rest. They also easily adjust to your perfect height & they fold up for travel or storage.
Rolaltors are great for indoor or outdoor use. And they're available in some new & attractive designs/colors!

Best All-Around Rollator:
This Drive Medical Four Wheel Rollator is an all-around winner! It's sharp & stylish, strong, easy to fold/transport, economically priced - and more!
This amazing rollator has four 7.5" wheels that are non-maring - and they work well indoors and outdoors. Its wheels won't make any track marks on your floors. It also has a tough & strong steel frame and you'll find it very easy to adjust to your personal height.
This Drive Medical Rollator on Amazon features a nice padded seat that also has padded backrest that you can fold up or down. And I want to mention that it's ergonomic handles are very comfortable in your hand.

My Favorite & Highly Recommended Three Wheel Rollator:
This Drive Medical Winnie Lite Rollator has three wheels & a light weight that makes it perfect for travel, shopping, maneuvering tight spaces - and it's a perfect fit for your car trunk too! It really allows you to walk through tight spaces and needs less "parking space" inside offices, restaurants, movies, stores, etc.
It has 7.5" casters with soft-grip tires that you can use indoors or outdoors. It quickly adjusts to your proper height and it easily folds up just using one hand. Very cool. The aluminum frame is strong, sturdy & light.
I love that this Drive Medical Winnie Lite Rollator on Amazon comes with a handsome plaid pouch for your personal items - and I want to mention that the pouch has a cover. I like the fact that you can put items in your pouch but the pouch cover ensures your privacy.

I should also mention to you that many of us like to have a standard walker for around the house – and a rollator for outdoors or travel.
And one more thing that I think is really important is to look at the hand grips of any model you're thinking about buying. A good grip or handle can make all the difference! You'll want to make sure the grip or handle is contoured, or ergonomically designed, to be comfortable in your hand. The more comfortable the hand grip, the more enjoyable it will be to use - and less tiring too!
Personally, I have some peripheral neuthropy (numbness/tingling) in my hands, so I always need a grip that contoured & cushioned. A contoured or ergonomic grip makes a big difference!
